His friends call him “DC,” so as far as we’re concerned, you can too. David Cline is the chair of our corporate group and covers a wide range of transactional matters. Primarily, he counsels growth-stage companies and investment entities on structuring, restructuring and governance. Also: buying, selling and raising capital. Also: incentive programs for service providers, succession and intergenerational planning. So pretty much any kind of transaction in the book. DC also frequently speaks at local entrepreneurial events and is a mentor at Galvanize Boulder.
Prior to joining Modus, DC worked at a full-service, multi-state law firm, and before that he earned his JD with an Entrepreneurial Law Certificate from the University of Colorado Law School. A born-and-bred Silicon Valley boy, DC breathes entrepreneurism like it’s air. He has co- founded multiple ventures, including Spark Boulder, a non-profit student entrepreneurial lab. And while DC isn’t the bragging type, we’re happy to do it on his behalf: he was published in the Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law—with his full name and everything.
